To deliver our Service, we share certain data with the following categories of providers. Each provider is contractually bound to protect your data consistent with applicable law:
- Google LLC (Firebase) — our primary backend infrastructure provider. Firebase Authentication, Firestore (database), Cloud Functions, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics are used to authenticate users, store app data, run server-side processing, and collect diagnostic information.
- OpenAI, LLC — we transmit certain user-submitted content (YouTube video transcript data, TikTok caption data, Instagram caption data, and user-uploaded images) to OpenAI's API (GPT-4o-mini) for AI-powered workout and fitness content extraction. We do not transmit your name, email address, or other personal identifiers to OpenAI.

6. Artificial Intelligence Processing
6.1. Lift Link's core functionality relies on artificial intelligence to extract structured workout, exercise, and fitness information from content you submit. When you provide a YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram URL or upload an image, the relevant textual or visual content is transmitted to OpenAI's API for processing.
6.2. AI-extracted results may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. All AI-extracted workout or nutritional content should be independently verified before use. We make no representations or warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated extraction results.
6.3. We do not use your personal information to train AI models. Content submitted for extraction is processed by OpenAI under their API terms, which by default prohibit using API data for model training.
7. Data Security
- Firebase Authentication for secure account access
- API key validation and rate limiting on all extraction endpoints
- Firestore Security Rules restricting database access to authenticated users
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) for all API communications
